My friend Deb Waybright is a hero for me and many others, she is selfless, she did a lot for me, her past students, as well as her current. She has a lot of faith in me and my abilities Deb is the kind of person you want in your corner. She'll push those who need it the most and never give up on you. Without her pushing and never giving up on me, I probably wouldn't have passed MCAS. Waybs is still a solid part of my life to this very day.
She and I talk on the phone when we can and she still picks me up for coffee and even takes me to her house to give me her hand me downs, including some skirts, and nice tops. I am so glad to have this special person in my life. I wish everyone could know just how awesome she really is, she makes me smile, laugh, and always offers me words of wisdom when I need it the most. She knows how to make me feel better when I feel down. I can count on her to always push me to continue
I know she continues to impact all the students she works with. I hope that she will remain a part of my life for a long time to come. I like how she shows me pictures of her family, and lets me be a part of her life as well. I know that I am the luckiest kid in the world to be able to know someone as kind and loving as Deb.
I know her support has meant a lot to me, especially when I got sick in 2009, when I thought I was all alone in the world she was there for me, and supported me through the most darkest days of my life. I am so blessed that she takes her time out of her schedule to support me, I'm glad I stayed in MA instead of moving to CT with my parents, I'd miss being able to see her and hearing her wisdom, and her wise cracks which always make me laugh.
It's teachers like her that deserve an award for her passion for teaching and helping others, there's so many who don't know just how amazing she truly is. I know I write a lot about her but I like letting people know how much she impacted me.
