Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I have had a busy few weeks and months. My health has been up and down as of late. I was recently diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, I had an MRI last week and the results came back negative for anything wrong. This coming Thursday I have an EEG. I am nervous but I'm a warrior and everything will be fine I'm sure. I am so grateful for my friends and family who have supported me and sent me prayers. Last Saturday I was supposed to meet General Hospital actress Nancy Lee Grahn who plays Alexis Davis. My friend Liz Arnold went to the event and did the nicest thing ever by recording Nancy and sending me a personalized video. Liz also sent me an autographed note from Nancy too. I am so grateful to have good friends like that.
I am grateful that the Bell's Palsy is manageable and not serious. But to be honest it's frightening when you don't know what's causing it. I am hoping beyond hope to attend UMass Lowell in the Fall, but with this new problem, I'm hesitant. I cannot afford student loans, and I am only going to take one class per semester. If Landmark College was NOT so expensive I'd go back in a heart beat to attain my Bachelor's Degree. I wish sometimes that like Stewie from Family Guy that I had a time machine and that I could go back in time and lessen all these problems. But like I said I'm a strong person and through it all have survived a lot. Maybe more than the so called normal people.
I am looking forward to Summer, and my 30th Birthday which is July 1st. I know age is just a number but, I often think I probably wouldn't be able to enjoy them if I didn't have the support system I have now. I have coping skills to deal with my depression and anxiety, but I don't quite yet have the skills to deal with my Bell's Palsy, which I've never heard of until I was diagnosed with it. I can cope with whatever comes my way. I am brave, courageous and a warrior. I would like to thank all my friends for their prayers, kindness, and love through all of my struggles.
I also want to mention I haven't watched GH since Tracy left. I guess I am a little attached to the character and the actress. I hope to do some catching up over the next few days. Believe it when I say I'm the biggest GH fan around. It's got a great cast and great stories. I guess this is all I'll write for now. I always say I'm gonna write more often, but like everyone else, life get's busy. I appreciate you for reading my blog and commenting and viewing.

Glad everything's going ok. I don't understand why the MRI and the EEG were necessary?! Bell's palsy is usually caused by inflammation of the nerve. Are you on steroids? BP usually goes away after 6 months or so. Hopefully it won't take that long tho.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for the tests is because neurologist said it wasn't typical Bell's palsy. It comes and goes at random times
