My interview with Wally Kurth

Hi Wally, Thanks so much for the opportunity to send you some questions 1. What is it like working on 2 long running soap operas like Days Of Our Lives and General Hospital. Are there difference or similarities working on these shows? Honestly, there’s not much difference working on the two shows.  Days has two smaller studios that they tape in.  GH has one big one.  Days moves a little faster throughout the day, always done by 5.  GH will work till 8:30pm sometimes. But the cast and crew on both shows are great. 2. What would you say to someone who's dream is to work on a soap opera? I didn’t plan to work in soaps.  I just wanted to be a good actor.  I happened to have an audition for the shows, and I was the best man for the parts.  It’s as simple as that.  Sometimes when you want something TOOOOO much, you can be too nervous and not perform as well.   3. If you could play one character. Whether it's Justin on Days or Ned on General Hospital who would you portray and why? Well, that’s a trap I won’t walk into!  I feel really lucky to play BOTH roles.  They are different.  And I think I’ve become a better actor by portraying both of them.  There are days that I do enjoy playing one over the other, but that’s why I like doing both.  The storylines keep me on my toes, and if one of them is going thru a boring period, the other is usually intriguing.  And sometimes both roles are kicking ass! 4. Who would you like to work with on GH or Days that you don't really get to work with and why? I’d love to work with Finola Hughes. I don’t think I’ve ever worked with her. Anna is a legacy character and I just think Finola is a really good.  I can’t think of anyone on Days, because I’ve worked w everyone at one time or another. 5. I have become a big fan of your music with Kurth and Taylor. Any chance of a solo album? I’d love that. Maybe some day. 6. What's it like working with the GH cast? I love your scenes with Jane Elliot what is it like working with her? Jane keeps me on my toes.  She is a friend and has been a mentor.  I will miss her when she’s gone. But there are lots of amazing actors on GH.  I adore all the actresses over there.  They’re all very talented. 7. What would you say to someone who wants to be a musician like yourself.   practice.  practice. practice.   Okay. I think these are all my questions. It's not everyday I get to do this.
