General Hospital- Current story lines

   Hi everyone
Here is my first blog entry for 2017. First off Happy New Year everyone. I hope the first full week has treated you well. Here are my thoughts on General Hospital the longest running daytime soap opera on ABC. Now ya'll know I love the character Alexis Davis and the actress who plays her Nancy Lee Grahn, but remind me again was she this much of an alcoholic say I don't know, 15 years ago? I remember falling in love with Nancy and Maurice Benard in scenes together back when they first met in the hey day. The moniker for them is Sexis. Haha. Yeah it's a silly nickname but I love it. I was and still am a huge Sexis fan. I'd much rather a full love story then another one night stand.
  I will tell you now. I cannot stand Julian Jerome. The man who basically put Alexis in this position of alcoholic louse. A man who also tried to stab her, luckily Sonny saved her life. Watching Alexis go down the path she's in now is rather disheartening. I also think though that Nancy kills any story she's in. But and please don't throw any tomatoes I also feel Nancy deserves better. She should get a love story. I'm not gonna deny that she and William DeVry have romantic chem on screen but come on. They basically destroyed that by making him manipulative and abusive towards her.
    I can tell you I watched the scenes in which Julian had Alexis at the docks with the knife to her throat, it was quite scary. It wasn't romantic, it was sleazy and unbecoming, especially considering there's a younger generation who tunes into GH on a regular basis. I have also tuned into the whole Nina and Valentin story. I'm not into that either. He's just using her, he's manipulative, I'm sure he'll throw her in Shadybrook before too long. And another thing. I have yet to mention. I fear for the future of my favorite show. The ratings aren't good, not that they really were, the characters are being written poorly, they keep adding new people when they should write for the characters we know and love.
    I am fearful that we are watching the last few years of what I know can be a fantastic show that it was back in the day. I hope that we see more happy stories in the coming weeks and months instead of the same doom and gloom we seem to be used to. I hope the writers will listen to what the viewers want from the favorite characters and couples. Instead of just writing what they the writers like. I have loved GH for well over a decade. I hope the generations to come will be able to have some sort of piece of this long running soap opera. I want to tell my kids about the show, and their kids. Well you get the picture.
     I think we the fans need to continue to tune in. Write to the soap magazines, the actors and actresses, tweet to them on Twitter, send them notes on FaceBook. Any kind of way to reach out and say thanks for all that they do. Because being an actor on a show like that isn't easy by any stretch. I'll leave this blog entry for now. I have been wanting to write about them for a while now. I hope everyone comments. Leaves their opinions, and the like.
