So I recently posted a status on Facebook questioning my very own sexuality. I wonder do I like men, girls, or do I like both? I am still wondering. I guess I fear being judged if I were to come out as lesbian or Bisexual. I know I shouldn't be afraid because I have a great family, great friends or support me too. I do see myself having a pull to both genders. I say if anyone has a problem with my sexuality than they have a real problem. I think I have the right to love who I love. I find girls to be equally as attractive as men. I am not afraid to admit that. I don't even care if I lose friends over this. If I do who cares they were never friends in the first place. I have never dated a girl. I have thought about it but have never had the courage to seek any out. I still am attracted to guys. I have no clue what to think about myself. I guess I am my own worst critic. I'm still learning about myself everyday.
I often think what it would be like to be in love. I hesitated to post the question at first about my sexuality on FB because I didn't want to be criticized. I had some wonderful comments. One person who shall remain nameless wasn't very nice. Or maybe she was trying to be protective of me. She didn't want people to be nasty on my comment. But honestly I have people who care about me and love me no matter what. I would love to be brave and come out and say hey I'm a lesbian! Or hey I'm bisexual!! But I haven't figured that part out about myself yet. I don't care what people think. I was in an LGBTQ group at Cornerstone. It's just too bad I didn't get to learn and enjoy it since I left too soon. I am glad though that I was able to learn some things in the first class I was able to be in.
I hope one day all 50 states recognize gay marriage so that if indeed I am with a woman that I can get married. I want to be happy and if that means I fall in love with a woman then I'm for it. I think it's sad how much hatred there is in this country. Isn't it supposed to be 2014? There are still hateful people in this world who think gays and lesbians don't have rights? Makes me want to spit nails. I wish I could have the courage to talk to my counselor about this. I sometimes do but not all the time. It sometimes makes me feel shy to say oh by the way I like girls. I guess I fear that she will judge me? But I know that's not true. But trust me I know there are still people who just don't like equal rights. It's just wrong. I hope there comes a day when everyone respects gay marriage and comes to understand that we don't mean any harm towards you. I can't say when that day will come but I hope it's soon.
