Here is my 70th entry and a letter to anyone involved with the legendary Carly Simon. I am 26 years old and have been a fan of Carly's since I was a letter girl. Now everyone knows how much I have wanted to get this one interview. I know Carly is a private person. But I promise I won't ask personal questions. I know how to conduct myself properly while interviewing someone. I had the good fortune of being able to interview singer Kate Taylor. She was so sweet to do it. It would be a dream come true if I could interview Carly. I have met her son Ben once in 2006. He is a sweet and talented man. Now don't get me wrong I would be very nervous to interview Carly if given the chance but I would compose myself and ask only proper questions.
I am a very shy person. I have reached out to Carly's manager and asked if I could interview her but was told she was to busy. But as it's been a while since I asked. I'm sure it won't hurt to keep reaching out. I know several people want to interview Carly. I'm certain thousands of people have asked. Some have succeeded and others have not. This is something I know the more I reach out to people who are close to Carly, maybe the more likely my chances of getting this interview are. I would also love to meet Carly one day and tell her what an inspiration she has been to me. Her music is a part of my life. I love how the younger generation is getting into her music. It's amazing that she has that kind of power and magic to reach out to the young and young at heart.
The best Christmas gift ever would be if someone reads this and makes my dream come true. I don't expect to meet Carly. If someone who is connected with her and can contact me and make the very first part of my dream come true I would be one happy girl! I know I'm sure someone out there is also writing an open letter to anyone who will be willing to read it to find out if they too can interview the legend herself. I would totally understand if I was told no again, but hey the second time is worth a shot. I believe this is actually my 3rd time reaching out to see if I can make this very thing happen.
I hope one day, if it's this year. Or in 20 years from now that I can have a fun interview with the musician that makes my days brighter. I truly hope that this garners some views and comments. Thanks everyone for reading.
