Feeling bored: Rally in Boston

So since I'm bored and the Red Sox are losing yet again I decided to write on my blog. I am going to a rally in Boston tomorrow at the Statehouse! It's a beautiful building but what a pain in the butt it is to go through those metal detectors. The Governor and the DMH commissioner have written an RFR or in other word Request for Response which doesn't fit with the clubhouse model. This i the second big rally I've attended since being a member of the Point After Club. I'm hoping to bring my camera so I can take pictures of the building. I was also hoping to take a picture with the Director and the Assistant director of the Point After Club since they have made such a difference in my life. I know I've had several people in my life who have made an positive impact on me but for some reason these two people have really touched my life. They don't judge me, they care very much about me and the other members at the club. If the RFR goes through members who've worked hard to get to where they are today, someone like me for instance could be dis-enrolled and would have to start 3 day orientation all over again.

Now back to the photo. I'm hopeful they both say yes, but I do feel that it would be awkward for them and that they would say no. Or that I would be to nervous to work up the courage to ask. I'm sure I'll be taking ton of photo's as they're is a lot of history involved with the state house. I like taking photos, I don't do it as often a I should though. There is so much scenery and I am pretty good at taking pictures. I can always do better. Maybe one day I'll take a photography class again to hone my skills. I guess the reason I want to take the picture is because I want to have a memory of those who changed my life. The Director ha been working at the PAC since day 1. He is dedicated, he cares about the members very much. The Assistant director is the same way. Whenever I or someone else needs something she is there at the ready. I owe all the staff at the club though, I won't name them but I'm sure they know who they are.

I am really looking forward to going to Boston again. I am excited and kind of pumped. I will say one thing though. I took a petition with me and unfortunately was only able to get 4 signatures. I had the weekend to get more signatures. But I'm lazy and I guess I thought I wouldn't get very many signatures. I shouldn't wait until the last minute for these sort of things but I always do. I tend to do that a lot. I really should work on that I think. I am also planning on going to visit where I went to High School this week. I was hoping to go Friday but I may end up having to change that. I am going to have lunch with my favorite teacher. It's been 6 years since I graduated from High School a lot has changed for me since then. I am hopeful that I get the chance to go and say thanks to him in person for always being so kind to me.

I still think though that people judge me because I have a mental illness. I leave the club and think to myself what do they really think of me? It hurts me to think that because I know how much they care, that they would never, ever judge me. I know they would defend me too if someone were to ever judge me due to my illness. I have a high respect for all the staff at the club, they work hard. If I was rich I would give some of my money to the staff. They don't get paid near enough for what they do. I'm sure they would all say it's not about the money. They do it because they care. I am so thankful for the PAC everyday. I think I will end this post for now. I'm hoping I get some new readers and comments on this entry. Especially the part about the pictures. Wish me luck for tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get the pictures I want tomorrow if not maybe one day. Thanks again for reading and taking the time to comment.
